Introduction of Medical Department

The Department of Neuropsychiatry deals with a wide range of ‘diseases that affect people's thoughts, emotions, and behaviors’. The American Psychiatric Association deals with and subdivides the field of neuropsychiatry into about 15 areas, and it is divided into the following areas.

  • 1. Cognitive dysfunction (memory disorder, dementia, etc.)
  • 2. Substance-related disorder (alcoholism, etc.)
  • 3. Psychotic diseases such as schizophrenia

  • 5. Anxiety disorder

The Department of Neuropsychiatry at Busan St. Mary's Hospital conducts accurate diagnosis and treatment through interviews, psychological tests, and brain imaging tests (MRI, CT, SPECT, etc.) with a wide range of psychiatric diseases. In particular, we operate a specialized clinic for dementia and provide professional treatment at the same time.
