Introduction of Medical Department

Endocrine refers to the secretion of hormones into the body. Representative endocrine organs include the thyroid, pancreas, pituitary, adrenal glands, ovaries, and testes.

Endocrine metabolic disease is a disease caused when hormones secreted from these endocrine organs increase or decrease more than normal. Diabetes, thyroid disease (hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, thyroid nodule, and thyroid cancer) and parathyroid disease (calcium metabolism disorder, hyperparathyroidism, and parathyroid tumor), osteoporosis, pituitary gland disease (hypopituitarism, acromegaly, pituitary tumor), adrenal disease (Cushing’s syndrome, pheochromocytoma, adrenal insufficiency, and adrenal tumor), hyperlipidemia, obesity, growth and aging, dysgenesis disorders, etc. are included.

The Department of Endocrinology in our hospital operates special clinics such as the Diabetes Clinic, Thyroid Clinic, Osteoporosis Clinic, and Obesity Clinic for more specialized treatment. We also run a diabetes complication laboratory, diabetes classes, and diabetic diet training to improve patient education and services. In addition, the Thyroid Clinic provides professional diagnosis and treatment for hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, thyroid nodules (lumps), and thyroid cancer.
