The history of Busan St. Mary's hospital
In 1951, when the Korean war broke out, St.Benedict hospital was established by Benedictine sisters in choryang-dong for many poor and refugees.
In 1965, it was approved to set up as the non-profit medical institution and was promoted to general hospital in 1975 width 15 medical departments and 260 admission beds procured in 1999.

The new Busan St. Mary's hospital started in 2006 to provide the best medical services for local community with latest medical equipment and experienced medical staffs.
We have 26 medical departments and 377 admission beds including hospice care, 80 medical staffs and 700 medical support staffs working toward a common goal to provide world class care.
