In general, surgery is easy to understand as a department that operates on parts outside the body, but surgery is a wide field that includes all kinds of operations on the human body.
Breast Surgery
Breast surgery is a field of surgery that diagnoses and treats various benign and malignant breast diseases, especially breast cancer. Breast cancer is a highly prevalent cancer in the West, with an estimated one in eight women suffering from breast cancer for the rest of their lives. Among female cancers in Korea, stomach cancer, cervical cancer, and breast cancer were followed. Breast cancer recently becoming the most common cancer after stomach cancer, and the trend is gradually increasing. Unlike other cancers, breast cancer is a cancer that can be cured if detected early. Recently, an increasing number of patients simply remove the tumor through early diagnosis and complete treatment without performing chemotherapy.
Gastrointestinal Surgery
Gastrointestinal surgery is a surgery that treats diseases that occur in the stomach, duodenum, small intestine, and appendix among the organs involved in food digestion. It is a surgery that treats several diseases that commonly cause acute abdominal pain around us and deals with the diagnosis, treatment, and surgery of representative diseases such as gastric and duodenal ulcers and gastric cancer, and various diseases that occur in the small intestine (jejunum and ileum). It also diagnoses and treats acute inflammation of the appendix (commonly known as appendicitis), which is the most common disease requiring surgical treatment among acute abdominal symptoms.
Colon, Proctological Surgery
Colon and anal can be divided into anal diseases such as hemorrhoids, hemorrhoids, anal fistula, anal fissure, anal itching (pruritus), perianal abscess, and anal cancer, and colon diseases such as constipation, diarrhea, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, and colon cancer.
